“Be Agents of Change” – Fr. Dabang Tells Block Rosarians By David Augustine Polmi

The members of the Block Rosary Crusade of Nigeria in Tafawa Balewa Deanery have been urged to be agents of change
This charge was given by the Tafawa Balewa Deanery Chaplain of the Block Rosary Crusade, Rev. Fr. Henry Dabang on the occasion of their annual deanery conference which held from April 1-3, 2016 at St. Mary’s Parish Tafawa Balewa.
In his sermon at the congress, the priest challenged members of the group “to be agents of change” while explaining that, “the word change is a state of transformation from a particular state of life or being which has either positive or negative effects on the way of life of a person or his/her community.”
Fr. Dabang also said that though the word change is not new to us, looking at the challenges Nigeria is facing today, change has a different meaning
“Many people where hoping for a positive change in the country but it is apparent that the negative is the case” the cleric lamented.
He used the occasion to call on all members of the crusade to change their lifestyle for good, to the glory of God through their mission of the Rosary and devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Highpoints of the event were, quiz competition, cultural dances, chorography and presentation of songs by different parishes.
St. Mary’s Parish Tafawa Balewa emerged first position at the quiz competition while Divine Mercy Parish Boi and St. Giles’ Parish Gambar took second and third positions respectively.
